2008 starting off great, 2007 is dead and in heaven.

Happy New Year friends and foes! If it's true that you spend you year like you spent your new year's eve, then I am going to be very content this year. I stayed in and began the 7th season of Gilmore Girls with chips, and cookies, and wine. T'was magical.

Also on the eve of the new year I discovered my new favorite band. Now I hesitate sharing my musical loves with people. Because I have this weird thing where if too many people like something I don't like it as much. Like M.I.A. for example. Like I still LOVE her, but every since those bastards at MTv began playing here in between Tila Tequila and The Hills (both kill brain cells, but both are oddly entertaining. Guilty pleasures I guess. Not Tila though really because I am proud to say I loved that show. That was appointment TV, man. The Hills I do feel like I should be punished for enjoying. Honestly the penace will begin soon) I have grown slightly sour towards her. I don't know what it is that make me feel this way. Maybe it's that whole Twin Cities culture where if lots of people like something there has be something wrong with it? Because, of course, most people are square and need to be shipped off the isle of lame. Then quickly forgotten about.

Anyway I degress. You have to check out Now, Now Every Children . This may be a strange analogy but if Juno was an indie pop band from the Cities, it would be this indie pop band from the Cities. That probably doesn't make sense to anybody but me.

Ok finally I wanted to give you my best of 2007: The Albums In No Particular Order
Alright, Still - Lily Allen It's poppy, it's random, it's British. I mean what more can you ask for. Plus her lyrics are rude. And rude is hilarious.

Back To Black - Amy Winehouse I could care less about her drug woes, or her rat-nest-bee-hive. Her songs are ridic. Compleatly new, yet compleatly familar. I'm sure a bunch of it had to do with Mark Ronson, that stone cold fox.

Kala - M.I.A. If you have any taste you love this disc. If you have it and also listen to Nickleback I need you to leave now, and never return. Ever.

Meiko - meiko If there is a heaven and I somehow trick St.Peter into letting me in, it would be a meiko song. Coffee, and newspapers, and being super broke and it not mattering. Simplicity is the name of her game.

The Reminder - Feist I loved her before 1234, I loved her before it was hip to love her. I have been super obcessed with Leslie Feist for-f'ing-ever. My favorite track on The Reminder has to be Brandy Alexander. Have a listen.

Under The Blacklight - Rilo Kiley Jenny Lewis can do no wrong. All I have to say.

Looking at this list it appears that my taste is shockingly mainstream. Maybe i'm devolving? Or maybe everybody else is evolving?

...I like the second choice, makes me seem SUPA COOL!
